Holiday Prep Class

The Holidays Are Coming! Let’s get you and your dog ready for guests and boarding.

As with every kind of event at Pickles Playland we are not able to accept people under 21yrs old in our building. This is a state law, not our rule.

Class Details:

• When:

  • You can mix and match locations and dates.

  • Kirkland: Select 2 of the following dates: 7pm. October 30th, November 6th, December 8th & December 12th.

  • Issaquah: Select 2 of the following dates: 7pm. November 10th, November 13th, December 2nd & December 15th.

  • Redmond: Select 2 of the following dates: 7:15pm. November 14th, November 21st, December 11th, & December 18th.

• Duration: 2 sessions. 1 hour per session. You can decide to come to any 2 session dates.

• Cost: $125 per dog. Additional lessons can be added on for $50/lesson.

• Open to: Adult dogs and puppies. You can bring additional people for FREE! Help us help everyone who cares for your dog, by bringing them to classes too. 21yrs+ for humans.

• How to register: Request via email PicklesPlayland@gmail.com. You must have a profile in the client portal. So if you don’t yet, feel free to click the ‘Client Portal’ button above.

Skills Covered:

• We go over all of the skills in every session & will tailor the training to your dog’s experience level.

• Kennel training for comfort and relaxation.

• Leave-it with food on the floor, tables, and in hands.

• Stop barking.

• Place work / Go to bed.

  What to Bring:

• Your dog

• A small bed, towel, or blanket (this is important for every class)

• A list of questions for the Q&A session at the end of each class

• A way to take notes if you’d like

• A standard leash (non-retractable leashes. If you show up with a retractable leash we will not be able to proceed with that day’s training.)

• Your dog’s collar or harness (harnesses are not recommended unless medically necessary)

• Three types of tiny training treats (about the size of a kibble). We also have treats available for purchase if needed.

• A treat bag or dispenser that clips to your pants.

• Any family members or caregivers 21+ who wish to participate

The fine print:

1. Puppies and dogs must have at least TWO bordetella, TWO distemper, and if over 4 months of age ONE rabies vaccine before registering for class.

2. These classes are for people 21yrs+ only (it’s a state law, not ours).

3. Additional private sessions available upon request at $200/session. These can take place in your home, in public, or at one of the Pickles Playland locations.

4. Please refrain from recording our classes. The information in these classes is not widely distributed on social media and/or recorded because we have chosen not to. If you have questions or want to record a specific training technique for you and your dog we can schedule a private session to do so.

5. Cancelation policy: We accept a low number of people per class, to ensure each person gets the most hands-on and 1:1 experience. Reservations are non-refundable for any reason. If you miss a class you can choose to schedule a private training session if you’d like, at the standard rate of $200 per private session.
