What’s needed for boarding?
1) Your dog has passed a behavioral analysis & has come in for at least 1 full day of daycare. If your dog hasn’t been in for 3 or more months we’ll need to schedule a new behavioral anaylsis & full day of daycare.
2) Your dog is comfortable in a kennel. We use kennels for feeding times, shift changes, and when team members are walking other dogs.
3) You have a membership. We have monthly standard and annual standard - diamond levels.
4) Your dog has updated bordetella, distemper, and rabies vaccines. As well as a negative fecal test including giardia from within the last year.
5) Your dog is comfortable in daycare and being handled by strangers.
6) Your dog doesn’t demonstrate whining or barking behaviors.
7) Your dog is 11 years old or less.
8) Your dog is welcome even if they have some medical sensitivities. But if their needs are extensive we might refer you to board with your veterinarian.
9) Your dog is 35lbs or less, even in Redmond where we accept daycare dogs up to 50lbs.

Dogs can share the bed with a human on a luxury memory foam mattress. If your dog isn’t a bed sleeper, we have kennels, beds, and the cots available.

Your dog’s safety is our top priority. The Pickles team is annually trained in first aid, CPR, bloat awareness, dementia care, emergency evacuation, and canine behavior training.

HOW TO SCHEDULE BOARDING
To keep your furry soulmate safe, we require Bordetella, Distemper, Rabies, and a clean fecal test including giardia performed within the last year.

You can make a boarding request through our client portal. Requests are not considered final until you complete your dog’s boarding survey and are accepted by the team at Pickles Playland.

CANCELLATION POLICY
You can cancel your dog’s boarding reservation up to 7 days before their visit without charge. Any visit canceled within 7 calendar days of the first date of service will be charged at full price for the dog’s entire stay, minus added services.
Pickles Playland is a small, family-owned business and because our amazing overnight crew is paid on commission we are unable to make exceptions to the cancellation policy. We truly appreciate your understanding and your support of this local business.

Slumber party checklist:
• Food pre-portioned and labeled.
• The gear they wear at drop off.
• Medications/supplements.We provide beds, mats, toys, blankets, bowls, etc. Please do Not bring any additional supplies, we can not guarantee they’ll be returned to you.

We'll send you personalized pupdates, via email, every day. The pupdates will include photos & notes about how your dog is doing. You can reply directly to the updates for communication with the boarding and daycare team.

For your furry soulmate’s safety, we need an emergency contact that is not you or your spouse. In the event of an emergency, we will contact you first. If we can’t get a hold of you, we will call your emergency contact. It is highly recommended you leave your pet’s care details with your emergency contact before you leave town.
If your dog has a form of mild upset we will let you know and ask how you prefer us to proceed. If your dog needs professional medical care, they will be taken to the veterinarian.

Not a problem. We have boarding every night of the year, even when daycare is closed. Your furry soulmate is welcome to stay as long as needed!

Pickles is fortunate for the ability to limit the dogs we take. Our maximum boarding capacity is 10 per team member at night. Most nights average closer to 3-6 dogs per night.
